INFNITI “Do Not Disturb” EP Review

I’ve been following Infniti since he and Rawest Geek dropped the “Jakey’s Night” music video in 2020. Since then he’s dropped 4 high quality EPs and various singles that showcase a very creative and clean style of production and delivery that feels very genuine while still being technical.

Being familiar with his work, I can honestly say that the Do Not Disturb EP has become my favorite compilation of his and this feels to me like Infniti at his best. From his self-production to his lyrics, I feel this is his best release so far as it reflects so true with a passion and sound that can be enjoyed by the casual music aficionado to the hard core melomaniac and everything in between.

When I listen to this body of work, taking into consideration that it’s coming from an independent artist, I hear the work of a man who has taken a deep dive into the core of his emotions, insecurities, truth and strength and has alchemized them into musical form.

The production is a seamless flow of original beats, rare samples, thoughtful and methodical rhymes weaved into tracks that are very relatable for those of us who are truly in a journey of healing, self-realization and growth.

From the 3-Piece combo that is Do Not Disturb, my favorite track is “Error”. The tempo and samples give me a sort of Produced by Michael Jackson vibes via the piano and melodies sampled along with near explosive beat drops and finely selected 808. The more I listen to this song, the more layers of sound I find and as an artist and fan, these are the types of things that fascinate me about music and will have me playing that shyt on repeat for days. Not to mention that the lyrics delivery feels like they are being spoken by a man who has reached as resolution regarding his own ways and feelings and has made peace with knowing that there is strength in vulnerability yet there comes a time to stand for your own peace, take accountability for your errors and take ownership of the room needed to grow, respectfully. Which I believe is an experience many of us can relate to.

If I let you in, then let me grow. Don’t use my flaws against me.

Infniti “Error

Mistake? And the title track of this EP shine on their own as well. Mistake? feels like a peek into a man’s heart and mind and Do Not Disturb feels like it can be the anthem for those of us who are done with the unnecessary drama and can’t honestly be blamed for just wanting their own peace of mind and space and are not willing to overextend for those who cannot reciprocate.

Finally, if this is to be a full review, I’mma be honest… Imma be honestttt… and honestly, the only thing I do not like about this project is the cover. Infiniti has delivered a higher quality of covers from futuristic to minimalistic and as a fan, this cover doesn’t seem to be in sync with the quality of the music. I think it’s never too late to change your artwork in this digital era but I know when it comes to music and creating a release only the artist knows how meaningful their art is and everything that has been chosen to represent their work has been thoughtfully selected. So I take that into consideration.

Overall BiGG Props to Infniti for his latest release and for being a consistent independent artist delivering quality work to the people.

Do Not Disturb in one sentence: A musical connoisseur expressing the deepest thoughts within the Divine Masculine.
