Coyolxauhqui Obsidian Pendant Reworked.
A little bit of story about this piece:
I don’t remember exactly where I bought it, but I do remember the Coyolxauhqui pendant was one of the first things I was able to gift myself after I became a mom. Not sure if I got it the 3rd or 4th Mother’s Day I celebrated, I’m on year 14 of Motherhood so it has traveled through many journeys with me.
At first it was just the pendant with a faux leather cord to tie around my neck. Then I added the Mikiztli clay bead after I lost its pair, they were earrings before. I wore it a lot until the wear and tear wouldn’t let me tie it anymore.
I put it away in a box and it had been sitting there for at least a couple of years.
Decluttering my closet I found it again and just knew that it was ready for a makeover.
My friend had just gifted me some copper and I had the beads separated and ready to go as I had been collecting them because I had a vision of how I wanted it to look.
It came out as imagined it.
Inspired by the Divine Moon, the power of transformation it beholds and the beautiful stars and planets that guide us in our life journey.
